This is the ultimate question. Fifty years ago you hardly heard of anaphylactic allergies, Celiac Disease, gluten- free bread or GMO’s.

So why did our grandparents have no food allergies?food allergies

1)      They ate real food- harvested from the land with no pesticides, herbicides and were GMO free

2)      They walked and spent time outdoors in the sun ( without chemical sunscreen)

3)      They didn’t take copious amounts of antibiotics and supplements

4)      They ate animals that roamed free on the land who were not injected with growth hormones and antibiotics

5)      They cooked from scratch and did not use harmful microwave ovens

6)      They ate seasonally and local foods only

7)      They did not consume pounds of toxic high fructose corn syrup

8)      They did not slather chemicals onto their bodies from make ups, perfumes and creams

9)      One in three was not on an anti depressant, anti anxiety or hormone therapy

Nutrition is the building block to our health- if our nutrition is poor, our health is poor- over time and being exposed to high sugar content in food, low nutrient based food and toxic chemicals in our environment can lead to food allergies, chronic illnesses and cancer.

How can you avoid food allergies and chronic degenerative illnesses? Eat real organic food. Demand non GMO products from your grocer and live in a chemical free home which means start to read labels and know what you are putting in and on your body.

So why do you think we have so many more food allergies today, than we did fifty years ago? Share your thoughts below in the comments.
