Chocolate Mousse Dairy Free
This Valentines Day make yourself or your loved one a healthy dairy free chocolate mousse for dessert.
I love experimenting in the kitchen and making healthy recipes. If you know me, you know I have written two cookbooks full of healthy allergy free recipes.
Today I wanted to make a healthy dessert that was dairy free, gluten free and free from refined white sugar
I decided to use tofu as it adds some nice protein to the dessert. Maybe you will have it for breakfast?
Here is the recipe. Feel free to substitute with your favourites.
Chocolate Mousse- Dairy Free
Ingredients
- 1 package of silken or soft tofu
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup almond butter or cashew butter, or tahini or any seed or nut butter you like
- 4 tsp cocoa powder
Directions
- Mix all ingredients into a food processore and blend until smooth
- Pour into 2 decorative cups
- Put in fridge until ready to serve
- Top with raspberries, strawberries or leave as is
